As soon as you step inside, you’re met with an impressive array of products ranging from hair care to skincare and beyond. A notable feature of S. Mart is the helpful staff, designed to enhance the shopping experience. Jennifer R. recounts her friendly interaction with an employee who carefully guided her through the brow makeup options, ensuring she made the right choice. Such service fosters a welcoming environment, inviting customers back for future visits.

  • Skincare Selection: As pointed out by patrons like Mimi L., the store is packed with various skincare items—from face masks to moisturizers, many of which are in packaging laden with an enticing allure of Japanese and Korean script.
  • Competitive Pricing: While prices may be higher than their counterparts in Japan or Korea, customers recognize the value in purchasing immediately without shipping delays. As Ctae L. aptly puts it, the rates for specific products stand on par with online platforms, making S. Mart an ideal pit-stop for beauty enthusiasts.
  • Vibrant Store Atmosphere: S. Mart’s somewhat crowded aisles provide a unique energy, especially on busy days, although this can lead to a less-than-ideal shopping experience. The buzz of fellow shoppers adds to the store's charm, even if it occasionally detracts from the personal service.

However, not all experiences are perfect. Some visitors have mentioned that employee interactions can vary; while many are friendly and helpful, a lack of pleasantries during checkout has been noted. It's essential for S. Mart to maintain an engaging atmosphere, as customer service plays a crucial role in shaping visitors' sentiments.

In conclusion, S. Mart is a must-visit for anyone in Philadelphia looking to explore the latest in beauty innovations. The store’s dedicated selection of Asian skincare and beauty products combined with its unique shopping experience makes it stand out. This store has a lot of c beauty and j beauty that's difficult to find in other places. I bought a few things from Judy doll from this place!

kind of crowded when i wet because the aisles can only fit 1 small person comfortably. Things cost $8-20 with most of them being the $11 dollar range. The korean stuff was twice as expensive, but it's competitive with online prices. They have a lot of mother knows stuff at the front, collegen to eat and a bit of stationary at the back. skincare in the middle row, and body stuff on the right.

I was visiting Chinatown with family before leaving Philly and we visited on June 19, 2024. After entering, a young lady greeted us as she was working from the counter and asked if she could be of any assistance. She was pretty friendly so I felt comfortable approaching her about her recommendation for an item (brow makeup) and so she asked me if I needed something specific as she led me to the aisle (waterproof? non-smudge?). She gave me a tester for one she recommended. It was exactly what I needed and a very reasonable price, so she held one on the counter as I shopped around. When I finished shopping around the store she verified the item she held for me was the correct color and the transaction was smooth. I have no complaints! I kind of wish they had online shop option because I saw some Mise en Scene colors that were cheaper than I found online (but I suppose shipping would have hiked the costs up). I would definitely return if I was in the area.

It's good ig. Good selection and clean. The only thing that bothered me was the employees. There was so much yelling from them while I was shopping. When I checked out, the lady didn't even say "your welcome" or gave me bag. She just handed me my items

I went in and this place is full of asian skincare products. Rows and rows of stuff. I asked the sales person what kind of products were in here and she said "mostly korean and japanese products." As I walked around, they still have boxes of stuff they were putting up. First isle to the right was hair products. Shampoos, conditioner, hair color, hair mask, hair tools, floss, toothbrushes and toothpaste. Boy, I did not understand any of the writing. Lol. Back wall were diet stuff, toiletries and adult stuff. Again alot of the products barely had any English words. Hard to tell what some of the items were. This is probably my favorite side of the wall. Face mask, scrubs, moisturizer, eyelash and trendy tool holders. Love love this isle. Now these came with English writing. Easier to comprehend and understand what I am buying here. The front of the store had some makeup, and tons of boxes where they are still setting up. Prices for some of the items were very high compared to actually buying in Japan or Korea. Some of the can be bought on amazon or yestyle for slightly less. But sometimes, spending a little more to get it right there is not too crazy (I guess). Definately a must visit store, since I don't have to time to travel to Korea or Japan to shop for these skincare items.
